The violin's first yawning sigh
pierced the humming tension of the
poised orchestra,
and, as the timpani swelled and crashed,
a chorus of trumpets seared into life.
In that moment,
at the peak of
the first crescendo,
the full orchestra
raised its voice
and I fell in love with you.
